October: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7PM; 
November & December: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday 7PM

Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script. Please
bring an acting resume if available. Headshots are welcome but not required.

Show Synopsis:

Based on Neil Simon's experiences as a junior writer for "Your Show of
Shows," and set in 1953, the play follows the host of a weekly comedy
variety show, Max Prince, along with his staff of writers.

 

Roles Available:

 

Max Prince (M, 30s-50s) The mega-star of the popular television variety show
"The Max Prince Show"; larger than life personality

 

Lucas Brickman (M, 20s-40) The freshman writer

 

Milt Fields (M, 40s-60s) A joke-a-minute kind of guy

 

Val Slotsky (M, 40s-60s) A senior member of the staff (speaks in a Russian
dialect)

 

Brian Doyle (M, 30s-50s) Heavy smoker, heavy cougher, heavy drinker

 

Kenny Franks (M, 30s-40s) Considered to be the "boy genius" of the group

 

Ira Stone (M, 30s-50s) Hypochondriac who is late for work every day due to a
new ailment

 

Carol Wyman (F, 30s-40s) The only woman writer on the show

 

Helen (F, 20s) Max's secretary
