Siena College Summer Camp Teaching Guest Artist

Job Description:

The Siena College Creative Arts Department is seeking a Teaching Guest
Artist for the theatre summer camp to be held between July 20th and 31st.
The applicant must be comfortable teaching and working with middle and high
school students.

Responsibilities:

   - Working with camp director and other staff members to plan and
   coordinate activities
   - Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and
   theatre arts curriculum for campers
   - Leading and supporting campers in theatre-making activities
   - Support the direction of a camp showcase performance for campers
   - Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules
   - Ensuring and maintaining proper use of Siena facilities
   - Reporting details of any incidents


Requirements:

   - A minimum of a bachelor's degree required
   - Relevant experience in teaching and theatre arts
   - Experience working with children
   - Strong communication and leadership skills
   - Classroom management or group activity coordination experience
   - Dependable and self-motivated
   - Professional demeanor and appearance
   - Ability to work well with others and act as a team player
   - A background screening will be required.
