[Capdist-auditions] Zigzag auditions 8/25 at The Strand in Hudson Falls, NY

Adirondack Institute is auditioning singer/actor/dancers for its new musical Zigzag from 12-3 on August 25 at The Strand Theater on Main Street in Hudson Falls, NY, to be performed December 3, 4 & 5. Please bring a head shot and piano sheet music for one song and be prepared to read sides.
Parts auditioning for:Tender -- 50ish woman bartender tough-love character, grounded but tender. Alto, 4 leads and a duet, 3 easy dances, dramatic acting part for passed-over love interestBruce -- 30-40ish man, deliciously evil antagonist, bass/baritone, 4 leads and show-stopping song, some dance & simple fight sceneBoy -- 20-ish male, 11 short dances, including tap, ballet, musical theater, country, jazz and ballroom and sings 3 duets as younger self of main character, some acting and simple fight sceneGirl -- 20-ish female, 11 short dances, including tap, ballet, musical theater, country, jazz and ballroom, sings 3 simple duets and some acting, representing younger self of main character
Zigzag is a full-length, small-cast original musical to fully arranged songs by Neal Herr, directed by David Braucher, with choreography by Aaron Coulson. Rehearsal and performance as Covid allows.
You must show proof of vaccination to audition. Rehearsals begin mid-October. Small stipend for actors. Show will be sung live to recorded accompaniment. Partly funded with a NYSCA grant administered by LARAC.Neal Herr
