Upstage Productions, Inc.  Announces Additional Auditions for a fall production of

“Matilda, The Musical”



Additional audition slots have been added for our Nov. 19 – 21, 2021 production of Matilda.

Due to an overwhelming response, Upstage has added an additional audition date of Saturday, July 24 from 12:15 to 2:00 PM

At the Reformed Dutch Church of Claverack, 88 Rte. 9H, Claverack, NY 12513

Upstage will also offer the acceptance of video auditions; more information can be supplied to those interested by contacting us at the above email address.


Callbacks are scheduled for Saturday, August 7 at Noon at the Reformed Dutch Church of Claverack, 88 Rte. 9H, Claverack, NY 12513
Materials: Pre-recorded music is preferred; no acapella. There will be a dance portion of the audition; wear the appropriate footwear and come prepared to move

Casting Adults (19 years & older) & Children (8-18 years of age) for the following roles:

  *   Matilda (Elementary age)
  *   8 Elementary Children roles:  Lavender, Bruce, Amanda, Nigel, Eric, Alice, Hortensia, Tommy
  *   8-10 Teens/Young Adult roles:  Michael Wormwood & Teen/Young Adult Ensemble (Male & Female – very active ensemble); there will be track roles for some of the teens & young adults.
  *   10 Adult roles:  Miss Agatha Trunchbull, Miss Honey, Mr. Wormwood, Mrs. Wormwood, Mrs. Phelps (non-singing role), The Escapologist, The Acrobat, Rudolpho (a Dancer), Doctor, Entertainer
