[Capdist-announce] FREE Indian Classical Music Presentation & Recital

Join us for an afternoon of Indian music as Vidya Subramanian and her  
students discuss, demonstrate and perform classical Indian Carnatic music.
 
The event will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 4-6 p.m. at the  
Shenendehowa Adult Community Center (Senior Center) 6 Clifton Common Court, just  
off Vischer Ferry Road, Clifton Park.
 
The program will begin with a presentation about the history and  
development of Carnatic music, the name given to the Classical music of southern  
India.  The second segment of the program will consist of a recital on  vocals 
by Vidya and her students.
 
The event is FREE and open to the public.  It is suitable for all  ages.
