        Inspired by his memories of a childhood etiquette class, playwright Jeffrey Hatcher conjures up the world of a ten-year old studying manners from the title character.  Mrs. Mannerly is a demanding teacher, and no student in her 36 years of etiquette classes has achieved a perfect score.  But young Jeffrey, when he discovers her secret past, is determined to be the first.  A unique comic tale about the face we present and our inside selves.  

 

Making up the two-character cast of veteran area performers are Melissa Brown (as Mrs. Mannerly) and adult Randy McConnach who, in rapid succession,  creates multiple roles, from Jeffrey, a 10-year-old boy with an adult sensibility, five of his classmates (both male and female), and other characters of both sexes.
