Michael Ranscht Director, Fine Arts Center Viterbo University 900 Viterbo Drive La Crosse, WI 54601 Phone (608) 796-3737 Fax (608) 796-3736 Email: maranscht at viterbo.edu   TECHNICAL DIRECTOR  Full-time, administrative position in the Fine Arts Center reporting to the Director. DUTIES: Provide technical and logistical support for campus function, external clients, conferences and seminars; assist with rigging, lighting, sound, and A/V requirements of theatre productions; oversee and maintain lighting equipment; complete basic repairs of technical equipment; ensure proper and safe use of equipment and facilities; supervise student staff. QUALIFICATIONS: B.A. or equivalent experience in technical theatre production; experience with A/V equipment; customer service experience, excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; First aid and CPR/AED certification or willingness to complete training; commitment to the educational process; experience as a hands-on working Technical Director. Preferred: Experience with computer-controlled lighting, counterweight rigging, analog and digital audio; strong computer skills including computer-aided design software; experience in a presenting facility; working knowledge of IATSE regulations.
