SYNOPSIS:

This piece was first performed in 1978 at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco. It began from a desire from J. Chaiken and S. Shepard to work together. They met on a regular basis for three weeks, each time changing the location. They brainstormed pieces based on their locations; restaurant, beach, park, truck, theatre, etc. It became a piece about voices. Voices traveling. Voices becoming other voices. Voices from the dead and the living. Hypnotized voices. It contains elements like monologue, dialogue, song and trance poem. While creating the piece, they brought in some percussion instruments and started to jam. Soon, a form began to take shape.

This piece will be directed by Kristen van Ginhoven as part of a final '10 minute play project' for a directing class at SUNY Albany.
