Home Made Theater Holds Open Auditions for 

THE 39 STEPS

 

Home Made Theater announces open auditions for their February production of
Patrick Barlow's THE 39 STEPS, from the work of John Buchan and Alfred
Hitchcock, directed by Dianne O'Neill Filer.

Auditions will be held at the Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park
on Sunday, December 9th from 6:00-8:00pm and Monday, December 10th from
6:00-7:30pm.  The cast consists of four including two-three men and one-two
women.

The 39 Steps is undoubtedly John Buchan's most famous novel featuring his
favorite amateur sleuth, the world weary (but oh so handsome) Richard
Hannay. Alfred Hitchcock's movie brought the story to the attention of
American audiences, but Barlow's delicious re-write adds a Monty-Pythonesque
quality to this tale of derring-do that races pell-mell from the
sophistication of London to the wilds of the Scottish Highlands, taking spy
lovers and comedy aficionados on "one heck of a ride."  Production dates are
weekends, February 8th - 24th, 2013.  Rehearsals begin January 2nd.

No appointments are necessary for the audition.  Those auditioning are asked
