[Capdist-auditions] The RPI Players Announce Auditions for CURTAINS

The RPI Players, a student-run community theatre on the campus of 
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, announce auditions for their spring 
musical:

     CURTAINS
     Book by RUPERT HOLMES
     Music by JOHN KANDER
     Lyrics by FRED EBB

     Direction by FRANK LEAVITT
     Musical Direction by ADAM FINE
     Choreography by ABBY TODD

/"Based on the original book and concept by Peter Stone, the musical is 
a send-up of backstage murder mystery plots. Set in 1959 Boston, 
Massachusetts, /Curtains /follows the fallout when the supremely 
untalented star of "Robbin' Hood of the Old West" is murdered during her 
opening night curtain call. It is up to a police detective who 
moonlights as a musical theatre fan to save the show, solve the case, 
and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed 
himself!"/

Auditions will be held on *Monday, February 4th* and *Tuesday, February 
5th* *at **6pm*, with signups starting at 5:30. Callbacks, if necessary, 
will be held on*Wednesday, February 6th **at **6pm*. All auditions will 
be at the RPI Playhouse on 15th Street in Troy, NY.

Please prepare approximately 16 measures from a Broadway song (excluding 
music from /Curtains/) which best showcases your talent and vocal range. 
An accompanist will be provided, but you must bring sheet music for the 
accompanist. No a cappella auditions will be permitted.

Readings will be provided. Please come dressed appropriately for a dance 
portion of the audition.

Performance dates are April 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 at 8pm, and April 21 
at 2pm.
