Albany Dance & Fitness offers drop-in dance classes for teens and adults.
Here's a sampling of our classes:

*Jazz/Contemporary*

This class offers a fun-filled mix of  “old school” Jazz Dance technique,
with Broadway and Contemporary/Expressive movement styles. Loosen up with
jazz isolations & warm ups for coordination, balance and alignment. Expand
into full body stretching exercises for flexibility and strength (standing
and floor) followed by movement combinations across the floor, and
choreography in the center. Get fit, let loose and have fun! Find the inner
“Jazz Baby” in you! All levels welcome.

Instructor: Etta Fink Cost: $12/class
Monday 10:45-11:45am
Wednesday 7:30-8:30pm


*Lyrical/Contemporary  *

Lyrical/Contemporary fuses Ballet, Modern, and Jazz and focuses on mood,
emotions, fluidity, and creative expression.  A warm up, which includes
stretching and floor exercises, develops core strength, balance,
flexibility, and graceful technique is then followed by combinations and
choreography across the floor enhancing performance and improvisation
skills. All levels welcome!
Instructor: Robin Crist Cost:$12/class
Wednesday 12:15-1:15pm

*Gentle Jazz *

Jazz takes inspiration from a wide variety of music including jazz, swing,
blues, funk, pop, Broadway, and soul.  A gentler version of a traditional
Jazz class.  Warm up exercises which include stretching, isolations and
floor exercises and develop technique, balance, flexibility, strength, and
coordination are followed by floor combinations and choreography which
strengthen rhythm and performance skills.

Wednesday 1:30-2:30pm
