Choosing material for your college audition AND performing it flawlessly in front of a large panel is very different than any audition you may ever have. Your college audition is your one opportunity to show college representatives who you are and why they would be lucky to have you apart of their school’s theatre program.

Teaching technique for musical auditions as well as monologue work will culminate with mock auditions complete with sample interview questions. This preparatory workshop will put you in front of a panel of professionals, including theREP’s Producing Artistic Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill as well as representatives from institutions of higher learning.

Other elements we will explore include:
-what to wear to the audition
-how to prepare music for an accompanist
-how to present yourself during the audition

Students must have prepared monologues and songs if also auditioning for musical theatre programs.

Experience is required.
