Synopsis
An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their
twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the
show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her
story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the
two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

Character Breakdown – Roles are open to all ethnicities and gender
identifications.
Catherine Hiatt Character arcs from an ambitious, fresh-faced girl in a new
relationship to a woman stunned by a betrayal and a divorce that she is
only beginning to understand. Vocal range top: D#5 | Vocal range
bottom: F3 Jamie
Wellerstein Character arcs from an ambitious guy on a promising first date
with a dazzling career to someone who is blinded by success and ego. He is
very lovable, yet makes unintentional choices that sabotages his own
happiness. Vocal range top: Bb4 | Vocal range bottom: A2

Rehearsal and Performance Information
Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals will begin on Monday, April 25 and be held
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30-9:00. Sundays and Tuesdays
will be added closer to Tech Week.
Tech Week: Begins on Sunday, May 29 (plan on all day; please note, this is
Memorial Day weekend). Tech/dress rehearsals Monday -Wednesday May
30-June1. Invited dress Thursday June 2.
Performances: Weekends June 3-12. There will be performances Friday and
Saturday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons (four shows per
weekend).
